| From the road, two old tobacco kilns on closer inspection - architectural sensations that capture the best of the Ovens Valley with a crisp, modern twist. Both Cavedon s Kilnhouse and Chinamen s Kilnhouse are at once sophisticated, contemporary and luxurious. Utilising the original kilns built by Gino Cavedon (whose family came to the area in the 1890s), each house boasts soaring ceilings in the lounge areas, floor to ceiling windows, polished concrete floors and contemporary fittings. They sit in paddocks that are part of a working Angus stud- Alpine Angus, and overlook 15 acres of semillion and verdehlo grapevines, with outstanding views of Mt Buffalo.
At the Kilns your every whim is catered for, whether it s wood fires, heated floors and a drying cabinet for ski gear in winter, or ceiling fans and air conditioning in summer. For the foodies, kitchens are stocked with the best brands in gadgets and crockery and gourmet tea and coffee awaits your arrival. There are bike racks in the garage for the active types; games, dvds and magazines for those who want chill out; and wireless for those who still need to keep in touch.
Stunning yet simple furniture are found in each house and artworks add to the modern feel. Aseop beauty products, King size beds and beautiful linen ensure a comfortable stay. Outdoor living spaces enjoy brilliant views of the farm and neighbouring mountains - the pure serenity and the combined aesthetic of indoors and outdoors will capture your heart.
During your stay, an onsite manager will assist any queries you have or help you with any personal touches you wish to add to your trip.
When you are not enjoying your personal piece of paradise, you can set out to enjoy the regions various attractions. In winter, skiing; in summer swimming in the Ovens and Buckland river. Throughout the year you can also enjoy cycling, hang gliding, mountain treking, wineries and restuarants.

The Kilns provide two luxurious high spaces lined with washed grey pine to match the polished concrete (heated) floor in the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom areas. For winter, wood fire heating and a drying cabinet for the ski gear. For summer, ceiling fans and air conditioning if needed, two televisions and DVD players. The furniture is sleek and comfortable. The main bedroom with king sized bed and adjoining bathroom with a spa, has floor to ceiling views of Mount Buffalo and the vineyard. The second bedroom has a king sized bed and shares a bathroom and the third bedroom has two sets of king single bunks. The kitchen is modern and well equipped. All cooking appliances and utensils are available and pantry staples are provided to assist guests to prepare local produce.

Cancellation Policy / Terms & Conditions
If cancellation occurs less than 14 days prior to the arrival date we will endeavor to rebook the accommodation. If successful, full payment/deposit will be refunded less $50.00 administration levy.
If rebooking is unsuccessful The Kiln house will retain 25% of the accommodation fee. For cancellations more than 14 days prior to the arrival date, a full refund will be paid.
