Many cyclists are getting close to completing their training for the 2012 Three Peaks Challenge - a 235km course through Australia's most spectacular Alpine Region! The Bogong High Plains road between Falls Creek and Omeo Highway has been sealed, creating this wonderful opportunity for a 'European-style' road cycling event. The 230km course starts and finishes at Falls Creek, circumnavigating Victoria's Alpine Region traversing Tawonga Gap, Mount Hotham, then back to Falls Creek via Omeo.

We're constantly seeking ways to improve the Myrtleford Festival, and so we listen to any feedback we receive. One request has been to increase the Festival activities available on Sunday - so we have!
The Cotters Market will be more intimate than the Saturday Market and will focus on locally grown and produced foods, crafts and items.

All stallholders must be from the North East Victoria and all items for sale must be grown or made by the stallholder - no mass produced goods.

The Cotters Market stallholder registration form is available from the Myrtleford Festival Visitor Information Centre and the Myrtleford Neighbourhood Centre, or alternatively it can be downloaded from the website www.themyrtlefordfestival.com.au.

So...let's cook sugo at Australia's first sugo/passata fiesta.  For one day of the year Villa Gusto will replicate the ways of Nonnas from southern Italy and offer the perfect environment to create pomodoro sugo's rich tomato sauce, ready for the preserving jars. Head chef Emma Handley offers a secret or two on how to make the tastiest sugo, just like they do in Sicily, the home of the tomato.  A lunch of pasta with pomodoro sugo, basil and parmesan, washed down with local Ringer Reef Rose is on the lunch menu.
