>Lake Buffalo Ride – 20.5km Total elevation gain 101m, Myrtleford to Lake Buffalo, an easy climb up the valley on the western aspect of Mount Buffalo, stunning views and pristine lake to dive into at the end.
>Queen Victoria Loop – 219km Total elevation gain 8850m, this ride is not for the faint hearted. From Bright this 236km circuit goes over Tawonga Gap, via Harrietville, climbs Mt Hotham, down to Dinner Plain, through Omeo, to Anglers Rest, climb up to Falls Creek, down to Mount Beauty for the final climb over Tawonga Gap back to Bright. Break it up and stay in Dinner Plain for night. >Climb Mount Buffalo – 30.6km Total elevation gain 1672m, Mt Buffalo National Park is stunning anyway to choose to travel is among the easiest of the Victorian Alps climbs
>Big Hill Mountain Bike Park – A network of trails, approximately 40-50 kms of single track. The longest individual trail is "Survey Track" at 5 km. The climb takes roughly 45 minutes then rewards your effort with a fast and flowing descent.
>KID'S PICK - ride the Rail Trail to the Wandiligong Maze – 8km A safe ride of the road along this newly finished section of the Rail Trail from Bright to the Wandiligong Maze, get lost in Australia’s largest hedge maze, play mini golf and enjoy a piece of their famous sponge.

• The distance quoted is a return trip unless stated one way
The degree of difficulty;
• Beginner – low level of fitness or new to bike riding
• Intermediate – good level of fitness and confident on a bike
• Competent – high level of fitness and very confident on a bike
For your safety and for the preservation of our environment please stay on the cycle tracks and trails provide. Tracks and trails in the Alpine National Parks and Mt Buffalo National Park may not be suitable to ride during the cooler months.

Road Cycling
Victoria’s Great Alpine Valleys offers some of the most challenging and exhilarating rides in Australia, often compared to famous rides in France. The Great Alpine Road windes its way from Wangaratta to Bright and over Mt Hotham to Omeo, right down to Gippsland. The Great Alpine Road has many discovery routes perfect for riding. Some popular mountainous rides;
• Bright to Mt Buffalo - 30.6km (one way) undulating to steep - competent
• Bright to Tawonga Gap to Mt Beauty - 53km undulating to steep - competent
• Mt Beauty to Falls Creek - 46km undulating to steep – competent
• Bright to Mt Hotham - 94km undulating to steep - competent
• Myrtleford to Lake Buffalo - 41km flat to undulating - intermediate
• Mt Beauty to Dederang - 39km (one way) flat to undulating – intermediate

For all those keen mountain bikers the region has an endless amount of tracks in both valleys. From novice to expert, you will find a track to challenge you.

• Bright to Porepunkah - 12km flat - beginner

• Hotham to Dinner Plain - 11km undulating to steep - intermediate
• Big Hill Downhill Trail (Mt Beauty) - 8.5km steep - competent
• Falls Creek to Wallace Hut - 7.9km undulating - intermediate
