 - Five kilometres on the Great Alpine Road before Myrtleford, Gapsted is another agricultural hamlet offering flower, walnut and asparagus farms with seasonal farm gate sales...the perfect way to show the kids where walnuts come from!
- The Gapsted Pass (300m above sea level) offers an inviting view as travellers enter the Alpine Shire.  As you travel towards Myrtleford on the Great Alpine Road, you have reached the Gapsted Pass when you can see the beautiful vista of Mount Buffalo National Park reaching up from the lush green valley. 
- Home to the regions largest winery, award winning Victorian Alps Winery, or locally know as Gapsted Wines.  Couples and families can enjoy lunch on the deck overlooking a spectacular view of the Ovens Valley.
