- The Gapsted Pass (300m above sea level) offers an inviting view as travellers enter the Alpine Shire. As you travel towards Myrtleford on the Great Alpine Road, you have reached the Gapsted Pass when you can see the beautiful vista of Mount Buffalo National Park reaching up from the lush green valley.
