Mount Beauty Victoria is a destination for all seasons. Located in a stunning open valley, with picturesque views of Victoria’s highest mountain, Bogong (1986 metres), the valley floors are a blanket of rich farming fields divided by the mighty Kiewa River.

An aptly named town, Mount Beauty was planned and created by the State Electricity Commission in the late 1940s, and was originally home to the thousands of workers who built the Kiewa Hydro Electricity Scheme.
Challenge your partner to a game of golf, walk to the top of Mt Bogong in the Alpine National Park or relax and enjoy a lazy afternoon lunch at one of the local wineries. Family holidays can be filled with kids picnics or a barbecues beside the Kiewa River or at the skate park. Kids love learning from the extensive interpretive displays at the Mount Beauty Visitor Information Centre about the history and geography of the area.
For enthusiasts or first timers, sail plane gliding, paraglising and hang gliding over Mount Beauty is a must.
