• Take a break from the Rail Trail and stop for a coffee and Rail Trail Cafe
• Take a short walk around the small township and see the amazing views of Mount Buffalo
• Visit the junction of the Ovens and Buckland rivers and throw a line in
• Go to the airfield for a joy flight or microlight flight
• Visit Ringer Reef and Boyntons wineries and sample premium cool climate wines

Fast Facts

- A small town located 6km from Bright, Victoria at the junction of the Ovens and Buckland Rivers, offering idyllic picnic spots along the river banks.
- Porepunkah is a family holiday destination, offering lots of family accommodation, with no less than five family holiday and tourist parks to choose from.  There is also a choice of Motels, holiday units or B&B’s.
- Porepunkah is right on the Murray to the Mountains rail trail, the perfect and safe way for families to enjoy a bike ride or walk.
- It is the nearest town to Mount Buffalo National Park.
- For the more adventurous the township airfield offers scenic flights in a microlight.
- Canoeing and rafting on the river is also popular as is swimming in the refreshing water hole.
- There’s wineries, alpaca farm and cafes.
